Court Visitor Services in New Mexico

Decades, LLC of Albuquerque and Santa Fe has provided court visitor services in New Mexico for more than 10 years.
As a Court Visitor, we conduct an independent investigation upon which we make a recommendation as to whether or not a guardianship or conservatorship is needed. Our investigation includes:
- Evaluating the needs of the person whose incapacitation is in question
- Interviewing the person(s) seeking to be appointed as guardian
- Interviewing the person whose incapacitation is in question
- Visiting the home or living space of the person whose incapacitation is in question
- Visiting the place recommended for the alleged incapacitated person to live, ensuring it qualifies as the most appropriate place for the person’s needs
Once our investigation is complete we submit a written report to the court. In this report are our recommendations regarding the proposed guardian, whether or not the person whose incapacitation is in question is capable of caring for himself or herself, whether or not the person whose incapacitation is in question needs supervision or assistance, and other relevant information that helps the court determine if guardianship or conservatorship is necessary.
